Syrian Jews in Colonia Roma

This tour begins in Santo Domingo Square, where the Inquisition headquarters were located, to discuss this period of crypto-Jewish history in the country (without entering the building).
We then move on to a different era to walk down Colombia Street, where the Colegio Israelita de México, a Yiddish school that survives to this day under another name, was founded in 1924. We will visit the Abelardo Rodríguez Market, with its impressive murals by Diego Rivera's students, and the Teatro del Pueblo (People's Theater), where Yiddish plays were performed.
We will then return to the starting point of the tour in the Jewish Quarter to continue the experience.
